Why is it important to see a board certified plastic surgeon? - Aria Plastic Surgery

Not all surgeons advertising cosmetic procedures have the same training. Most states only require someone to graduate from medical school to call themselves a "cosmetic surgeon". Board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery requires not just training in general and plastic surgery but, also oral and written examinations. The board requires its doctors to have extensive continuing education to keep abreast of the latest plastic surgery procedures. The board also monitors the ethics of its doctors to be sure billing is proper and that the patient&rquo;s wellbeing always comes first.
